In 2013, the most recent year statistics were available, there were slightly more than 240,000 lost work day injuries and illnesses among private industry workers in Canada, almost all of which could have been prevented. While training, personal protective equipment and other preventive measures play an important role in incident prevention, safety audits are a cornerstone of safe workplace culture. Safety audits can help employers and their employees identify existing workplace hazards and create appropriate controls to prevent injury or illness.
This training is appropriate for all workers and supervisors in Canada in general, construction, oil and gas, and other industrial and office settings. This training does not address any specific OHS training requirements, but is instead based on industry best practices and accepted methods for performing effective safety audits.
This training is presented in English and French Canadian.
