Learning Objectives

Upon successful completion of the Hazard Communication (HAZCOM) for Employees Course, students will:

  • Be able to incorporate the use of ANSI formatted 16-section Safety Data Sheets (SDS) into the routine procedures of working in or around hazardous materials.
  • Determine the meaning of appropriate labeling used on containers of hazardous materials.
  • Know the required elements for labeling systems used for hazardous materials.
  • Be able to apply the SDS, material inventory, labeling systems, and Hazard Communication Written Program into a daily routine to have a safer workplace.
