Access to Employee Exposure and Medical Records
Some types of jobs may expose workers to toxic substances. When an exposure incident happens, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requires employers to maintain records of what workers were exposed to, and to maintain any medical records that result from that exposure.
This course will help workers understand the types of records that must be kept and their individual rights to access those records. After successfully completing this course, the learner should display the ability to recognize the different types of employee exposure and medical records and OSHA's standard regarding proper maintenance and retention or records, and employee access rights to those records.
