Every day, consumers and businesses discard vast amounts of materials. Disposing of items like batteries, fluorescent light bulbs, and unused pesticides in landfills with regular trash can pose environmental risks to all of us.
The EPA introduced Universal Waste Regulation to minimize the presence of hazardous and toxic waste in landfills and the environment.
This training covers topics under 40 CFR 273.
Who needs Universal Waste Management Training?
Individuals, other than households or small quantity generators, who dispose of batteries, pesticides, mercury-containing equipment, lamps, and aerosols.
This training is designed for employees across all industries mandated by OSHA to manage universal waste materials.
