Updates to the Hazard Communication Standard Include:

Hazard Classification: Chemical importers and manufacturers are now required to determine the hazards of chemicals they produce or import. Including new information on health & physical hazards and classifying of chemical mixtures.

Labels: New GHS labels must include a signal word, hazard statement, pictogram, and a precautionary statement for all hazard classes and categories.

Safety Data Sheets: The old material safety data sheets (MSDS) are now just called safety data sheets (SDS) and require 16 sections.

At the conclusion of the Hazard Communication (HAZCOM) for Employees, students are required to pass a course assessment (with a score of 70% or higher), after which you will be sent (via U.S. Mail) a Certificate of Completion suitable for framing (not a black & white "downloaded copy").
