Anyone who has already taken the initial Emergency Response Technician Level 3 Course will need to take the refresher course annually to keep the training updated and compliant.
The emergency response technician is the Level 3 Emergency Responder. Their function is containment and isolation.
After taking the initial Emergency Response Technician Level 3 Class, you must take an Emergency Response Technician refresher course annually to keep the training updated and compliant.
The Emergency Response Technician (Level 3) Refresher takes a minimum of 8 hours of classroom training to complete.
There are 5 levels of emergency responders that get training. Levels 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.
According to OSHA, the Emergency Response Technician Level 3 Refresher Course can be completed using an online training course as long it has all the requirements under OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 (q).
