Richard W. Hoffmann is a medically retired Correctional Fire Captain and Peace Officer, specializing in hazardous materials response and incident command. He is a twice-patented inventor, best known for creating the only mechanical slide-rule calculator of the 21st century and mobile apps that simplify wildland fire hydraulics. As an author, public speaker, and small business owner, he develops wildfire protection systems that make homes and businesses in the Wildland Urban Interface insurable again. With decades of frontline experience and innovation, Richard equips safety professionals with the knowledge and tools to protect lives and property.
