A retired firefighter with over 25 years of dedicated service, Orville Soto is also a Certified Safety Professional with a passion for teaching and lifelong learning. For more than two decades, he has taught fire-related courses, including Hazardous Materials, EMT, and CPR, equipping countless students with critical lifesaving skills. He holds a master’s degree in Environmental Management from Columbia Southern University, where his studies deepened his expertise in safety and environmental best practices.

In recent years, Orville has focused on delivering Hazardous Materials training with an emphasis on renewable energy, blending his extensive firefighting experience with forward-looking environmental safety strategies. Known for his engaging teaching style, he takes pride in sharing knowledge and skills that make a tangible difference in students’ careers and lives.

Outside the classroom, Orville is married with one child and enjoys golfing, traveling, and scuba diving. A lover of music—especially jazz, pop, and salsa—he is also an avid baseball fan. His well-rounded background and passion for safety make him an inspiring and relatable instructor for students from all walks of life.
