Dane Michael Wilcox

Dane began his career as a volunteer and industrial EMT/firefighter, which led to roles in emergency response, remediation, and health and safety within the private sector. He served as a response coordinator and lead trainer under a federal EPA contract in Region III, later managing regional operations for multiple emergency response and remediation companies. In 2007, Dane transitioned to full-time instruction with Compliance Solutions, where he continues to shape the next generation of safety professionals.

Dane Michael Wilcox brings over 30 years of real-world experience in safety, emergency response, and environmental compliance. Dane is one of the most experienced instructors on the team, known for delivering impactful and relatable training rooted in decades of fieldwork.

His specialty lies in emergency response training, and his real-world background allows him to connect with diverse audiences in the classroom, offering insight that goes far beyond textbook examples.

One of Dane’s most memorable moments was leading the D.C. anthrax response, applying years of training to coordinate complex operations with precision and calm. Inspired early on by a mentor who saw his potential as an instructor, Dane has since developed a deep passion for teaching. “I relish the opportunity to pass on my knowledge and wisdom,” he says. “It’s an honor to help prepare the professionals who will protect others in times of crisis.”
