New fact sheets from NIOSH for N95 Respirators

NIOSH or The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health has issued two fact sheets on N95 face filtering respirators.
How to tell if your N95 respirator is NIOSH approved?
The first fact sheet is, “How to tell if your N95 Respirator is NIOSH Approved.” It covers how to tell if a respirator is approved including using the certified equipment list (CEL) and specific labeling to look for on the N95 respirator. It also covers counterfeit respirators/misrepresentation of approval and respirators that were approved but have altered, modified, or had NIOSH approval revoked.
Understanding filtration efficiency testing & fit testing in filtering facepeice respirators
The second fact sheet is called, “Understanding filtration efficiency testing and fit testing in filtering facepiece respirators (FFRs).” It covers testing filtration efficiency for filtering facepiece respirators including the nine filter classes. It also covers fit testing for employers using either qualitative or quantitative fit testing.
